Dinosaur tracks

Discover petroglyphs

Found throughout southern Utah, a petroglyph is an image carved, incised or scratched into stone, and typically found only in caves or other areas where they have been protected from the elements of sunshine, wind-blown sand, and precipitation. This rock art has survived hundreds, even thousands of years, and is seen by thousands of visitors a year.

Dinosaur tracks

Moab has some of the best dinosaur tracks in the world from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods embedded in the red rock canyon country of eastern Utah. Most tracks have been tracks left by carnivorous and herbivorous giants on ancient lakeshores, river sandbar,s and in inter-dune oases. Don’t forget your camera or to visit the Moab Giants Dinosaur Museum.
